PX1000 Integrated Circuit Tester

ProductionLine's PX1000 solution embeds PXI instruments into the tester architecture, merging PXI into an existing, production ATE machine.

Instruments for low-current measurements, high-current and/or fast-slewing signals, and low-voltage force/sense should be close to the DUT for best results. The PX1000 places these boards in the test head, directly connected to the loadboard with the shortest possible path. Signals from other instruments, like audio AWG and digitizers, can accurately be transmitted and received through coax or shielded cabling from a PXI chassis. The PX1000 optimizes these choices.

    Benefits:
  • Faster Hardware -- Our full size, state-of-the-art computers act as controllers for both the PXI chassis (via high-speed "MXI" signaling on the PCI-Express bus), and our standard instrumentation inside the test head.
  • Faster Software -- Using LabVIEW programs and the libraries (DLL's) for each PXI board, our software engineers can convert important application-specific routine to PLT's fill-in-the-blanks graphical interface. This moves some of your existing development investment into production.
  • Better Signal Integrity -- The DUT must be surrounded by a different set of buffers, circuit protection devices, and impedance-matched cabling to ensure the high signal integrity needed for volume production testing. PXI lab setups seldom meet these requirements. PLT's flexible DUT Interface Board (DIB) connects the PXI cables to the loadboard directly, providing the best solution to this critical DUT interfacing issue.
    Applications Include:
  • Wafer Sort & Final Test
  • High Volume Production Testing of Analog, Digital & Mixed-Signal IC's
  • QA, Reliability & Device Characterization
  • Ideal for Power Management IC's, Optocouplers, Transceivers, Switches & Multiplexers
